Jack’s Camp – Makgadikgadi Pans
Jack’s Camp is surrounded by the vast and pristine landscapes of the Makgadikgadi Pans. A museum of vintage artefacts, photos and manuscripts that have been collected by the Bousfield family forms the centre piece of the main pavilion.
Ten spacious and stylish tents decorated with textiles from India and afar offer guests understated luxury and comfort. Each tent has a private veranda, with comfy chairs, that overlooks the mysterious landscape of the Makgadikgadi that stretches as far as the eye can see.
Activities at Jack’s Camp are unique! Get up close and personal with the habituated meerkats, discover secrets of the pans on a fascinating bush walk with the local Bushmen, day and night drives in 4 x 4 safari vehicles and from 14 April until 31 October quad bike across the salt encrusted pans.
Jack’s Camp also offers some exciting additional activities that are available at an additional charge and need to be pre-booked. Embark on an adventurous two-hour horseback safari (suitable for all levels of riders) or a multi-day riding safari for experienced riders and for those wanting to get to the extremely remote areas of the Pans a two night quad bike expedition to Kubu Island
