Leroo La Tau
Northwest of Khumaga Village, situated on the western banks of the Boteti River is Leroo La Tau. The eastern bank of the Boteti forms the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park which stretches away from the riverbank towards the interior. Leroo La Tau translates as “lion’s paw”. The main area, with its inviting wooden and thatch finish, allows one to relax at the bar while listening to the wide variety of night sounds so characteristic of the African bush.
The lodge features twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites with en-suite bathrooms, each unit on a raised wooden platform.
Leroo La Tau offers 4 x 4 game drives in the Makgadikgadi National Park which focus on the exceptional wildlife sightings along the Boteti River. Depending on water levels, boat activities can also be conducted. Cultural excursions to Khumaga Village can also be arranged along with day trips to Nxai Pan and Baines Baobabs (restricted to a three-night stay).
