The Silo – Cape Town

A magical hotel towering above the V&A Waterfront The Silo Hotel sets a new standard for luxury accommodation in Cape Town. Built in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex occupying six floors above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa which houses Africa’s largest contemporary African art collection.

From the outside, which was designed by Heatherwick Studio, the greatest visible change to the building’s original structure is the addition of the geometric windows.

Each of the twenty-eight rooms, including the one-bedroom penthouse, has been individually designed and decorated with colourful, eclectic pieces that juxtapose the modern industrial architecture.
